Govern from the center?

The thug has not yet been President one month. Those of us who have both brains and experience using them warned the lemmings, but they chose to ignore us with their blithe reply, "Don't worry, he'll govern from the center." Yeah, sure...

So far, Stanley Ann Dunham's only non-aborted male-appearing pre-viable fetus has:

· Violated the United States Constitution by placing the 2010 Census under the direct control of a political hack, with the clear intention of “cooking the books” for the benefit of his party and his big-government agenda.

· Allowed his lackeys in the House and the Senate to pass an abomination of a spending bill that will have millions more people feeding at the public trough at the significant expense of those of us who refuse to do the same.

· Promised during the campaign to publish all non-emergency legislation on the Internet for five days before signing it into law, and broke that promise with the very first bill presented to him for signing.

· Decided to close the detention camp at Guantanamo while having no idea what to do with the 235 terrorists locked up there.

· Dropped charges against the mastermind of the U.S.S. Cole attack.

· Placed a clueless oaf in charge of the Treasury Department.

· Started on a wild spending spree that will cost the taxpayers trillions of dollars, to be paid for through higher taxes, hyperinflation, and massive debt handed down to future generations.

· Criticized the former President for annual deficit-spending of several hundred billion dollars and then charged full speed ahead on plans that will lead to an estimated two trillion dollar annual deficit.

· Used scare tactics to get public support for the largest spending bill in world history, warning that “A failure to act, and act now, will turn crisis into a catastrophe” - just weeks after an inaugural address in which he said, “We have chosen hope over fear.”

· Misrepresented economic history in pushing for a repetition of many of the FDR policies that actually worsened and extended the Great Depression of the 1930s.

· Signed into law changes in the SCHIP program, giving an additional $32.8 billion to states to fund medical care for “poor children” in families making as much as $88,000 per year.

· Warned Americans during the campaign that “We can’t just keep driving our SUVs, eating whatever we want, keeping our homes at 72 degrees at all times…” and then cranked up the Oval Office thermostat on his very first day so he could work without his suit jacket.

· Capped TARP recipient executive salaries at $500,000 with no clear understanding of the eventual negative consequences.

· Made his first official “foreign power” Presidential phone call to the chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

· Called for a repeal of the "Defense of Marriage Act,” and moved to extend more than one thousand federal marriage benefits (such as filing joint tax returns) to homosexual couples.

· Ordered that “sexual orientation” be included in the definition of workplace discrimination (which will, for example, result in employers being unable to do anything about employees who cross-dress).

· Signed an executive order requiring taxpayers to fund overseas abortions.

· Said almost nothing in defense of Israel after it finally fought back in response to years of rocket attacks from Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

· Announced (in a cowardly way, through his chief economic advisor Lawrence Summers) that he will allow the Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010 - thus raising taxes on the average family of four by $1,900 per year.

· Authorized the Environmental Protection Agency to allow California and other states to pass their own automobile emission standards at the same time that American automakers are in danger of bankruptcy and in need of taxpayer bail-outs.

· Issued a statement reaffirming his support for unrestricted abortions when the “March for Life” organization challenged Obama to witness an abortion in order to “know what it looks like to pull off the head, arms, and legs of a pre-born human.”

· Removed funds for contraception from the stimulus bill after receiving public criticism, and then had the funds quietly reinserted in the bill during the final conference negotiations.

· Blamed America in his first television interview, which was given to an Arabic cable network.

· Gives advance notice to reporters to let them know who will be called on during press conferences.

· Applauded a Saudi peace initiative which would require Israel to give up eastern Jerusalem and other territories in exchange for almost nothing.

· Loosened the already loose rules on filing pay discrimination lawsuits, which will cause more lawyers to get rich filing lawsuits that put companies out of business and people out of work.

· Loaded his foreign policy staff with anti-Semites.

· Chose a Chief of Staff who has daily political strategy conversations with ABC’s George Stephanopolous and CNN’s James Carville and Paul Begala.

· Prepared a conciliatory letter to Iran, when Iran has no intention of giving up its nuclear program.

· Asked the Joint Chiefs of Staff to cut the military budget by 10 per cent at a time when America’s enemies are eager to “test” the new President.

· Bragged that he assembled his cabinet and White House staff "in record time" (11 weeks) even though George W. Bush had only five weeks to do so in 2000 because of the delays caused by Al Gore’s vote-challenge lawsuits in Florida.

· Chose an Attorney General who is soft on terrorism, soft on criminals, and tough on gun-owners.

· Promised not to hire former lobbyists and then immediately authorized “waivers” to enable him to do so.

· Plans on sending 17,000 troops to Afghanistan without clear goals or an exit strategy.

· Had his Secretary of the Interior place large areas of Utah off-limits for oil and gas exploration and refund payments to companies that had already signed leases for exploration and drilling rights.

· Selected as his Energy Secretary a physicist who is not a climate scientist but who unreservedly believes in mankind-caused global warming, and who warns that “We’re looking at a scenario where there’s no more agriculture in California.”

· Picked for Assistant Attorney General someone who believes there is a Constitutional right to view pornography in public libraries and that owners of private property cannot expel protestors from that property because it would violate their right to free speech.

· Defended the phenomenal amounts of waste in the stimulus bill even though he promised during the campaign that he would end pork and earmarks.

· Ridiculed opponent John McCain for suggesting the federal budget needed a “hatchet” and said he would skillfully use a “scalpel” instead, and then allowed Democrats in the House and Senate free rein in overloading the stimulus bill with hundreds of billions of dollars in spending that will do nothing to stimulate the economy.

· Signed an executive order requiring union contractors for federal construction projects, which will result in taxpayers overpaying for work that could be performed adequately by non-union low-bidders.

· Frightened state legislators with his power grabs and big spending to such an extent that eight states have already introduced resolutions declaring state sovereignty under the Constitution's Ninth Amendment.

· Hired a political "dirt digger" for a newly-created position of “White House Counsel Research Director.”

· Listened to a woman and her son whine at a town-hall meeting about needing a new car and a house instead of motivating them to act like true Americans, roll up their sleeves, and get jobs.

· Created an environment in which Newsweek magazine is comfortable printing the cover story, "We Are All Socialists Now.”

· Supports a "fairness doctrine" that would be used to censor conservative talk radio while conveniently leaving television and newspaper clearly in the leftist camp.

If those actions are "governing from the center" you might be wondering what the Communist Party candidate would have done had he been elected. The answer was given by Sam Webb, the leader of the Communist Party of the USA (CPUSA), when he expressed his approval of the Obama administration in a speech titled "Off and Running: Opportunity of a Lifetime." In the Ohio speech Webb said, "We now have not simply a friend, but a people's advocate in the White House." Webb and the CPUSA encourage Obama to nationalize the banking, energy, and health care industries.
